I am one regular who stays away from the pub on a friday night to avoid such dross taste in music. Theres no denying that jason and co are talented musicians but why play below your capabilities? Im seriously begin to wonder whether they are stuck in a time warp! Remember those school discos ?!!!!!! All flowing locks and leather waistcoats !!

As for SWV ?? or is it SMV ?? ....they'll be gone soon, so give them a break for now. Be sure you'll be able to dust off your handbags again soon!

JERICHO Rules!! These guys are fantastic and I dont understand why you people b**** about them! Cant u guys recognise talent when u see one?? Sure, they sing the same songs, but hey, at least they have a voice to carry off those songs! As for SMV.. they are like kids trying to get a recording deal...

One man's meat is the other man's poison. What i define is good music, may not be so for the others... so, it is my opinion. I believe the 'comment' column is here for a reason. I have viewed all comments and quite frankly, most of them dont make sense. We like Jericho, and they have done a great job in bringing in the people, thus maintaining the good rep of Backyard. 'Shakin stevens'... whilst you may not like a lot of the songs they sing, it makes me wonder why the dance floor is always packed with people when Jericho performs... think about it. Jericho... with new songs or old numbers... they will always rock!

Just crusin' although you make some valid points, I can not take you seriously when you tell me what a lover of good music you are. Achey Breaky Heart, Joanna, Ag A Do, Birdie Song, Wake me up before you go-go .......need I say more !!! Hardly going to go down in history as classics are they ?? Hopefully, Jason will realise this whilst taking his break and come back with some material that really does his voice justice. As for SWV I agree ...boring, no charisma.

Whilst i am a big fan of Jericho,i feel shakin stevens has a point n ie they were getting stale playing the same songs over n over n over...I've heard that they are learning some new stuff n who knos,they might be back(i ve heard some pretty strong rumours bout that!!!)

Well, even tho they are considered 'stale' or 'boring' by some people, I dont think majority of the crowd would agree on that. If they were, there wouldnt be much of a crowd on Fridays. But, it is always packed anyway... and havent u wondered why 'Shakin Stevens'? We are not boring, we appreciate good music. I cant do the line dance even if my life depended on it, but I do love their rendition of 'achey, breaky heart'. As for SMV, to me, they bored me the first time I saw them perform and it didnt take me 1 whole year to realise that.. just one night. Cheers!

They were taken out because they were becoming stale and boring. Everyone needs a change every now and again. I agree that SWV arent as much of a crowd puller as Jason etc but Jason needs to get some new material. Not everyone likes 'achey,breaky heart'!For those of you that do......never mind.

I would like to second that motion... Jason, Collin and Raymond are one of the best bands there and I have no idea why they were taken out. I have been going to backyard for almost 3 months since they've performed and it was rather disappointing when I found out that they were not performing on Fridays anymore. On the other hand, Vijay, Albert and Bada are just perfect!

We want JERICHO back on stage on Fridays!!! The lead singer of SMV does not have the vocals to carry of most songs!

Thanks Edmund. I have been on Fridays since Jericho left. SMV is good, but they are not great. They lack the 'uumph' that Jericho, Albert, Vijay and Bada have. SMV sings almost the same songs as these two bands, but they dont stand out as the other two... we've been spoilt! Backyard is just not the same anymore without these two. Sorry if I have offended anyone... its just our comments. We would like to strongly urge for the 'arrival' of Jericho on Fridays. Weekends will never be the same anymore without the performances from these two great bands.

Thanks for your feedback Regular. Indeed, Albert, VJ & Bada is a great band. The best in the land infact. Dont sweat it, there are booked for functions this two weekends and will be backed to rock the house again next week. Was beyond our control. Anyway we have Malaysian Legendary Solo Artist 'BALA' standing in for them this saturday. A must see act also. The idea of changing Jason, Raymond & Collin was also mooted by feedback from the patrons. Think the have been playing for more than a year at the pub. So, just hang in there all Jericho fans, they will be back, rested and ready to rock and roll soon. On friday nites are Carlsberg Top Of The Pubs Champions SWV. One thing we can assure you is only the best bands in town will be performing here at Backyard. Also, if you know of any other good bands performing round town, pls do let us know. We will go check them out. In the meantime, saddle up, dust those cowboy boots and practise the line dancing steps as we have the Malaysia's premiere country and western band coming up in February. Who? Suprise!

Noticed that Vijay is not playing this Saturday?? Thats disappointing man as I and a lot of others think that he and Albert are the best around. Jason, Collin and Ray.. what happened to them?? Its good to hold on to the good bands Jerry as they did bring in the crowd and made us regulars party at Backyard more often. The line of bands now arent that impressive. Sure, it brings in new people but we regulars are not at all happy. I know I dont speak for all regs but most I know.
